- This course introduces the fundamentals of Internet Law and Ethics. Topics covered will include privacy, intellectual property, online contracts, cybercrime, and free speech. We will discuss current legal issues as well as evolving laws and regulations that govern the use of the internet. In addition, we will examine ethical considerations such as data security and responsible online behaviour. Through class discussions and case studies, students will gain a clear understanding of how the law applies to different forms of digital media and communication. The course will also emphasize practical skills needed to stay safe in today's connected world.
