Home Health Aid (HHA)

 Home health aide (HHA) course training provides individuals with the essential skills necessary to become a certified HHA. Through comprehensive classroom instruction and first-hand clinical practice, HHAs will gain the knowledge and expertise needed to care for people in their homes. With this training, HHAs will learn how to observe and record patient care information, provide basic medical care including personal hygiene assistance, prepare meals, perform housekeeping tasks, monitor vital signs, and provide emotional support to those in need of it. 

Through this program of study, HHAs will develop the skills necessary to make a real difference in people’s lives through compassionate home health care.

1. Lack of guidance in transitioning from classroom training to the clinical environment. 
2. Insufficient knowledge and resources provided to ensure patient safety and effective service delivery.
3. Lack of qualified instructors with experience in providing home health aide services.
4. Inadequate time allocated to mastering new skills, including proper documentation, and reporting techniques.
5. Challenges in developing and sustaining professional relationships between HHAs, patients, and family members due to limited communication opportunities throughout the course duration.
