Canine Specialist Training 

The Canine Specialist Training Course is designed to provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge to become a specialist in working with and caring for canines. It will provide an overview of canine behaviour, training techniques, nutrition and health care that are essential for dog handling professionals. The course covers areas such as positive reinforcement principles, establishing bonds between handler and dog, teaching basic commands and managing problem behaviours. You will also gain a comprehensive understanding of the physiology and anatomy of canines, as well as gaining insights into temperament assessment methods used by experts in canine behaviour. Each student enrolled in the course will receive hands-on experience in different types of training scenarios both in real-life contexts or simulated environments. Upon successful completion attendees will be able to confidently handle any type of canine within a professional environment.

Objectives: 

This course will provide the student with a comprehensive understanding of canine care and nutrition, as well as provide an overview of training methods to properly care for and train dogs. At the end of this course, the student will be able to confidently make decisions regarding canine health and safety.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of animal behaviour 
• Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required.
