Introduction  Welcome to the Dog Massage Training Course! This course is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to provide massage treatments for dogs.  You will learn how to recognize common signs of discomfort in dogs, as well as the correct techniques and strokes used when massaging various parts of a dog's body.  As part of this course, you will be trained in the proper use of pressure on certain areas, as well as the best methods for positioning a dog during massage sessions.  Once completed, you will have all the necessary tools to help keep your canine friends feeling comfortable and healthy through regular massage treatments.   Objectives:
  1. Develop and demonstrate an understanding of the anatomy and physiology of canine massage. 
  2. Learn effective, safe application of massage techniques to various dog breeds. 
  3. Evaluate the physical condition of a dog and determine appropriate massage treatment plan accordingly.
  4. Understand when to refer pets to a qualified veterinarian or canine physiotherapist for further assessment or treatment if necessary. 
  5. Explain the mental and physical benefits of massage therapy for dogs to clients and colleagues in the industry.
